01Overview

Forums, member communities, Q&A, interest groups and user reviews all revolve around user-generated content. Common forms include brand communities, industry networks, paid knowledge groups and product support forums. The hard part is not posting — it is keeping content orderly, high-quality and traceable once people arrive.

Running UGC in mainland China requires phone-verified sign-up, automated text and image moderation, human review queues, reporting and log retention, plus any applicable security assessments. These belong in the architecture, not in a later patch.

We design the content model, points and levels, notifications and messaging to fit your community, and give moderators an efficient back office.

02Who it is for

Brand and product communities

Move scattered WeChat groups into one searchable place for tips, feedback and feature requests.

Industry and knowledge platforms

Q&A, articles and resources for practitioners, with expert verification, featured content and tags.

Paid member communities

Content or events gated by payment or tier, with subscriptions, renewals and access control.

Local and interest communities

Posts, event sign-ups and reviews grouped by place or interest, with heavy moderation needs.

04

Reporting and enforcement

User reports handled centrally with delete, fold, mute and ban actions, all logged for audit.

05

Rewards for posting, replies, accepted answers and check-ins, with level-based permissions configurable in admin.

06

Direct messages, mentions, reply and like alerts, optionally pushed via WeChat templates or SMS.

07

Search and feeds

Full-text search with tag, board and date filters, and home feeds by popularity, featured status or follows.

07What drives the quote

Every scope differs; we quote once we understand the requirements.

Content types

Posts and replies are simple; Q&A, columns, video and events each need their own design.

Moderation and compliance

Moderation policy, review tooling, log retention and export requirements drive effort.

Real-time features

Messaging, live notifications and presence need persistent connections and a message system.

Paid access

Paid membership, subscriptions or pay-to-unlock content add payment and permission design.

08FAQ

What licenses does a community need?

At minimum an ICP filing; interactive UGC services may also require a security assessment, and commercial operations may need an ICP license. We flag these during planning.

Is moderation fully automated?

We do not recommend it. Automated screening blocks obvious violations and flags suspicious content; people make the final call using a review console.

How do we get the first users?

We provide invite codes, content import and bulk posting tools, but cold start is mainly an operations effort: seed users, prepared content and clear rules.

Who owns the code and user data?

Code is handed over on acceptance and payment. All user and content data lives on your own cloud servers and belongs to you.
